“When Kin rebuilt & reinstalled wooden shutters on an 1835 townhouse, he demonstrated his mastery of historic woodworking technique. Made from selected mahogany wood, the new shutters held up to seasonal storms while matching the design of the existing shutters.
When we were ready, we asked Kin to rebuild south-facing windows. Again his patience for meticulous workmanship showed. The windows took 6 months to remove, restore and re-install. What we have now will last another 190 years. The rebuilt windows provide superior insulation and functionality. They are indistinguishable from those that were replaced, except they no longer show wear. Gone are the jerry-built fixes, splintered framing and cracked panes. They lock easily, move up and down smoothly, and seal completely.
Living nearly 40 years in an old house has taught us if you cannot fix it yourself, you have to call on contractors you can trust. Kin knows better than we do how to approach reconstruction projects. He has earned our trust.”
